South of Los Angeles was an odd, inviting place for me. Everyone is in shape, everyone is beautiful, everyone is friendly.
The coastline, and especially the Palisades, were beautiful, save for the haze that obstructed a clear view of anything more than 1000 feet away.
This is a pier on Manhattan Beach. Only one person in the photo (can you spot him?)
