Great photo John. The sky is incredible and I love that you captured so many facets - Statue of Liberty, Industry, Birds, Container Cranes, and the helicopter. Nice work.
An amazing image, terrifically composed, wonderful colours, great shot.

Thanks, all. New York is so vast and has so many nooks and crannies that you could easily spend a year in just a few neighborhoods and never take the same photo twice.
Phil - thanks for the suggestion. I do have such a shot and will try to post it when I get back from this weekend's trip in NYC.

John, this is my first visit to your photoblog and I am loving your work. This image is "quiet" but powerful. Having grown up in New York, you must have mastered the perfect time to show up at the bridge. Great job.

Personally, I might prefer a version whitout the helicopter, because it competes too much with Lady Liberty, but that's just me. :)
